Chambers Investment Planners was established in 1988 as part of a larger group of financial services companies with the purpose of providing financial planning services for West Australians.
George Takla joined Chambers in 1996 and by 2001 had become the Managing Director and major shareholder of what had now become a wholly owned family business. Chambers was now in a position to focus on the issues that George had identified and had been addressing since 1995, namely:
- The importance of debt and cashflow management, which he believed had been missing from the realm of financial planning in Australia.
- That clients have an aversion to losing their invested capital.
George Takla was the first financial adviser in Australia to predominantly recommend capital protected investments to his clients, which he then incorporated within his unique planning strategies. These strategies have since become known as the "Chambers Method".
